What happens if i finish the main quest in skyrim

One way the player can spend their time is to create their ideal base. Put some gear on display, place unique items on weapon racks, organize containers to hold specific types of items, etc. There are few things that can serve as a hallmark of a playthrough like a personalized player home.

This is especially true for the properties added by the Hearthfire DLC, which allows the Dragonborn to build a home tailored to their preference. Playing an alchemist? Get a property and build an alchemist tower alongside their greenhouse.

Playing as an academic mage? Being the Dragonborn who defeated Alduin is all well and good, but what if the player wants their character to have even more prestige? To have another title. Each Jarl in the province is allowed to grant the player the title of Thane if they gain enough of a positive reputation in their hold.

This will grant the Dragonborn access to a new weapon to serve as a badge of office, the privilege to buy property in certain holds, and the ability to have the guards turn away from a crime once. It is the stories and experiences found along the way.

Ask around Morthal and the player may uncover a vampire plot. Hang around Windhelm and the Dragonborn may get involved in a murder mystery. In Solitude? The player may hear about a disturbance in a cave that turns out to be home to a coven of witches attempting to resurrect an ancient and powerful necromancer.

When all is said and done, the player should be feeling like a local hero. There are several pieces of unique gear in Skyrim. There are no really significant changes like in Oblivion. For example even the dragons will still be around for you to hunt down. Do I have to complete all the side missions to beat the game?

Side missions are not a part of the storyline. Once Alduin has been defeated, speaking to Tsun will cause him to explain that he can return the Dragonborn back to Nirn. Once they accept this offer, Tsun will grant the Dragonborn the Call of Valor shout, which can summon an ancient Nord hero to aid in battle.

Without giving to much away, one of the small things that change is that NPCs will sometimes comment on your achievements during the main quest. Cancel X. Topic Archived. Lol anyone who has finished the main quest in Skyrim is an idiot. You're not playing it right at all. Restart again Painful and play from Master difficulty from the start.

Then join some guilds Mages, companions and bard college and do a mission from each so you're the same rank in all guilds. There are many side and misc quests to be given from the guilds. Fair enough they don't give you the best rewards but the loot inside the caves are very worthwhile. You need to take you're time in this game and not rush through it. I bet you just fast travelled all the way to the end whilst if you would of taken the scenic route you would of done alot more random events, found some really cool side quests which would lead to good loot.

I haven't left the Whiterun hold yet but im level 26 with high skills in a few areas. I just can't believe you would rush through this game without doing all the small things first. You do the small quests with little reward I had 24 gold the other day which is a terrible reward but the loot I got from the cave and the random event encounter was well worth it.

When you're bulked up and skilled enough you do the HARD main quest and side quests on the hardest difficulty which really do test your skills. I don't think ill even touch the main quest till im level Um yeah k?
